Heart of Texas Writing Project

Heart of Texas Writing Project Teacher Consultants are active members of our community who have attended the month-long Invitational Summer Institute at the University of Texas at Austin. In order to maintain active status, Teacher Consultants participate at least 2 professional development workshops or other such groups such as writing or book groups per year.

HTWP teachers maintain a vibrant and active professional learning community. Our Teacher Consultants present at professional conferences, Saturday workshops during the year, provide consulting services to Austin area schools, and participate in HTWP book clubs and writing groups.

We also invite our active Teacher Consultants to join our online community where we can organize study groups, plan for presentations, share our writing, and construct meaning together.
