TX STRIDE
What is TX STRIDE?
TX STRIDE (Strength Through Resilience In Diabetes Education) is a type 2 diabetes educational program funded by a research award from the National Institutes of Health to Dr. Mary Steinhardt at The University of Texas at Austin (2019-2025). Participants (N=284; 27 groups), attended diabetes educational classes (18 total) and baseline, 6 months, 12 months, and 24 months testing (A1c, blood pressure, cholesterol, surveys, cortisol, sleep, physical activity) sessions.
Sharing TX STRIDE with the Community
Now that the research project has ended, the TX STRIDE curriculum and other resources are available to the community free of charge. These resources include diabetes educational class and support group materials, healthy recipes (some from program participants!) and YouTube Question & Answer videos with Endocrinologist, Susan Dubois, M.D. We hope you enjoy the resources and share them with your family and loved ones.
