The SensoriMotor NeuroPlasticity Lab (SMNP Lab) studies the neurophysiological mechanisms underlying control of normal and abnormal human movement.

Our mission is to:

  1. Understand the brain oscillatory mechanisms supporting normal and abnormal movement,
  2. Develop novel brain stimulation interventions that target these mechanisms, and
  3. Translate these interventions to restore motor function in patients with motor impairments caused by neurological damage

To achieve this, we combine non-invasive recording of human brain activity with brain stimulation and movement quality assessments in healthy individuals and individuals with neurological damage.
