The SensoriMotor NeuroPlasticity Lab (SMNP Lab) studies the neurophysiological mechanisms underlying control of normal and abnormal human movement.
Our mission is to:
- Understand the brain oscillatory mechanisms supporting normal and abnormal movement,
- Develop novel brain stimulation interventions that target these mechanisms, and
- Translate these interventions to restore motor function in patients with motor impairments caused by neurological damage
To achieve this, we combine non-invasive recording of human brain activity with brain stimulation and movement quality assessments in healthy individuals and individuals with neurological damage.
