CHeRISh Lab

Welcome to the CHeRISh Lab, led by Dr. Pablo Montero-Zamora. Based in the Department of Kinesiology & Health Education within the College of Education at the University of Texas at Austin, the CHeRISh Lab is a multi-site prevention science and public health research team dedicated to examining how contextual, family, and individual-level etiologic factors influence health outcomes such as substance use, mental health, and chronic disease across diverse populations. The CHeRISh Lab’s mission is to advance the development, implementation, and evaluation of culturally adapted, evidence-based interventions to improve health for individuals and families throughout the lifespan, both in the United States and abroad.
