Natalie Poulos

Natalie is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Texas Health Science Center Tyler in the Department of Community and Rural Health. She graduated with her Ph.D. in Health Behavior and Health Education in August 2015. She has also completed her M.S. in Health Education, B.S. in Nutrition, and is a Registered Dietician. Her research focus is on family health and food insecurity in Texas. she also has interests in community nutrition, program evaluation, and implementation science. In her spare time, you can find Natalie in the garden, riding bikes with her family, or walking the dogs.

Nathan Wu

Nathan Wu graduated from UT Austin with a B.A. in Health & Society in May 2020, having been with the Prevention Research Lab since 2019, and is currently working in the lab as a research assistant. His research interests include advertisements for foods, beverages and alcohol. Nathan is currently working on a project that aims to investigate the relationship of outdoor advertisement characteristics with health outcomes in the advertisements’ local areas in cities, in order to determine the relationship between ad content and overall health in ads’ target demographics.
