Crystal Fu is an undergraduate student at the University of Texas at Austin with a major in Psychology and a minor in Statistics and Data Science. She is passionate about improving the lives of children, especially those of a bilingual background, and is pursuing a career in clinical psychology that is geared toward meeting the social and emotional needs of her community.

Hi! My name is Ashley I. Rodriguez, and I’m a 4th year B.A Psychology major with a minor in Government at UT Austin. I was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley in a small town just a few minutes from Mexico. A fun little fact about me is that I’m a collector of things like enamel pins and keychains. I’ve been collecting for a few years now, so my collection has gotten to a decent size!

Camila García is a senior majoring in psychology, with a minor in Educational Psychology and a certificate in Spanish for Mental Health Professions. Born and raised in Lufkin, Texas, she hopes to pursue a career in school psychology and work closely with Latinx and Spanish-speaking children. In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Naomi Tefera

Undergraduate Student

Naomi Tefera is currently a junior pursuing a B.S. in Psychology, along with minors in Italian Studies and Kinesiology and Health Education, and a Pre-Health Certificate. Originally from El Paso, Texas, she aspires to specialize in child psychiatry, with an emphasis on supporting adolescent mental health, particularly in underserved communities. In her free time, she enjoys reading a good book, sewing some clothes, planning her next vacation, or watching some of the TV show Revenge.

Shiv Shah

Hi! My name is Shiv Shah, and I’m a second-year B.S. Neuroscience major with a minor in Healthcare Reform and Innovation. I was born in California but have grown up in Houston, Texas. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing basketball, reading sci-fi and fantasy novels, and spending time with friends. I’m also a big anime fan and am currently working my way through Naruto.

Regina Serrano

Regina Serrano is a second-year Psychology B.A. student with a certificate in Spanish for Mental Health Professions. She is from Dallas, Texas, but enjoys the nature and live music in Austin. In her career, Regina hopes to work in clinical child psychology or school psychology, helping Latine and underserved populations gain access to mental health services. In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts, trying new cafés, and going to the movies! Some of her favorite movies/shows are La La Land, 10 Things I Hate About You, and New Girl.
