The LONESTAR<\/strong> (L<\/strong>earner-O<\/strong>riented iN<\/strong>novations to E<\/strong>nhance S<\/strong>elf-regulation and T<\/strong>eaching: A<\/strong>ssociation of R<\/strong>esearchers…sorry not sorry<\/em>) Conference on Strategic Learning is an annual unconference-style meeting. Our goal is to convene researchers at Texas-based institutions of higher education bridging cognitive, social, developmental, and educational psychological perspectives to better understand strategic learning (broadly defined).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting was cofounded by Michelle Rivers (then a postdoc at Texas Christian University) and Veronica Yan (UT Austin) as we realized how many wonderful researchers there were in Texas with shared research interests. We held our inaugural meeting in 2023, and the meeting has continued in subsequent years. Our 2026 meeting will be on May 19-20, 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
