She received a master&#8217;s degree in Occupational Therapy from Alvernia University and a doctorate of science degree in Occupational Therapy from the U.S. Army\/Baylor University program. She is an active-duty military officer who has served as an Army Occupational Therapist for over 12 years. Her research interests lie in enhancing the holistic health of Service Members within physical, mental, psychosocial, and sleep domains. She holds a bachelor&#8217;s degree in Comparative Religion from Miami University and a master&#8217;s degree in Clinical Psychological Science from the University of Maryland. Her research interests focus on the psychological factors of health intervention and the importance of resilience in both psychological and physical well-being. She received a B.A. in health and society and international relations from The University of Texas at Austin. Her research interests involve community-intervention programs, health communication and the impact of gender role socialization on health.
