These experiences engage teachers in continuous, connected learning across time and build leaders in the teaching of writing. Heart of Texas Writing Project teacher consultants model writing workshop sessions in K-12 classrooms, coach teachers to design and implement curriculum in process writing, and support teachers as they engage in professional inquiry, reflection, and revision of their practices in the teaching of writing. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Heart of Texas Writing Project is a network of teachers experienced in designing and leading professional development for Austin area teachers in the teaching of writing. This professional development takes a number of different forms: workshops, courses, writing groups, reading groups, summer institutes, and onsite coaching of teams of teachers.
