Your resting metabolic rate (RMR) or resting caloric expenditure is measured using the Parvo Medics TrueOne 2400 metabolic cart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, your Physical Activity Caloric Expenditure, the number of calories expended above rest during normal activities and exercise, are estimated using a physical activity recall. Finally, your Total Caloric Expenditure is estimated by adding the RMR and Physical Activity Caloric Expenditure together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Calorie FIT is probably most useful for individuals trying to lose weight. In preparation for your appointment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fast overnight. Water is allowed and encouraged.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do not exercise vigorously for 12 hours prior to testing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do as little activity as possible on the morning of your test.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wear comfortable clothing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"pane\">\n<h3 class=\"inlineHead\">Location &amp; Parking<\/h3>\n<p>Testing takes place in Bellmont Hall Room 946, located at Darryl K. Royal Stadium. Parking is available. You will receive a Visitor&#8217;s Parking Permit from the FIT staff when you arrive for testing.
