Questionnaire data are used to assess differences in college major selection among black males &amp; females (N = 668 &amp; 258, respectively) &amp; the extent to which such selection &amp;\/or choices can be linked to early sex socialization. It is argued that recognizing &amp; countering traditional sex socialization is a prerequisite to increasing college major &amp; career opportunities for women in mathematics &amp; science. 3 Tables, 1 Figure, 46 References.
