Studies the effect of educational attainment on measures of self-esteem and self-worth of 230 Black men ranging in age from 17 to 76. Dependent variables of respect for self, others, disappointment in respondents, and the effort to live up to friends’ standards, showed a statistically significant relationship to the respondent’s educational background.
