I currently teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level. My graduate courses, Theories in Counseling, Research Design/Methods for Counselors, and Practicum Seminar, are required courses for students in our Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education Programs.

An “open” course I frequently teach is Introduction to Individual Counseling and Psychotherapy (EDP 367). I’ve enjoyed teaching this course for over 10 years and appreciate that students challenge me to continue seeking out new ways to keep the material fresh and relevant.  I recommend this course to upper level undergraduates with a psych background, who are interested in counseling and pursuing graduate study.  This class also works best for students who are not only looking to learn something about the theories, but also themselves.
